Miranda’s love of music grew at Technical High School Klerksdorp by playing saxophone first in the School Orchestra, and later in the Zephyros Youth Wind orchestra as well. During her student years at North-West University – and thereafter – she played in various orchestras and ensembles in Potchefstroom.
During her practical training as a lawyer, she came to realize that her career and life passions are likely to lie elsewhere. Amongst the children at a friend’s nursery school where she helped out, she discovered that passion!
However, her dream was to combine music and children’s education into a career and Kleuterklassiek made it a reality for her. In her own words: “Every child is special and should be given the opportunity to develop their natural love for music in their own time and in their own way.”
